Westminster Christian Academy History
In 2002, a church task force was created to study
the feasibility of forming a "Mother's Morning Out"
program at Westminster.
The initial set-up costs were funded by our church
and in the fall of 2002 the learning center opened
with eight students attending classes three days a week.
As the numbers of students grew, so did the demand
for a full-time facility. After building renovations were
completed to meet state safety guidelines, the Georgia
Department of Early Care and Learning granted the
center a license on July 28, 2005. The renamed
Westminster Christian Academy opened as a full-day
licensed child care and preschool on August 1, 2005.
Westminster Christian Academy has grown into one of the most highly recommended child care centers in our area. Our program is designed to address each child at his or her own level of development. Teachers design classes to promote literacy, creativity, motor development, math exploration, science, social foundations, music appreciation, and a love for Jesus and His love for each of us. WCA serves children from infants to age 5.
