YOUTH (6th – 12th grade)
On Sunday mornings, this class will engage with a rotating group of teachers about scripture using the David C. Cook curriculum. They will explore the scripture and how it relates to them today. Also, what this means for them. There is a handout each week for them to be able to take home and continue to use throughout the week as it contains a devotion for the rest of the week. This class meets on the second level of the Education Building.
Every Sunday morning, all of God’s children are welcome and encouraged to come to the opening where we sing songs and begin to prepare our hearts and minds to engage more deeply in the Word of God. They meet for about 15 minutes starting at 9:45am on the second level of the Education Building.
This class is geared for children ages 2 – Pre-K. This class meets on the first level of the Education Building.
Elementary (K – 5th grade)
This class meets on the second level of the Education Building.
“Elementary and Youth classes use The Gospel Project by Lifeway. This is an engaging curriculum which our students love. They are going deeper in their faith and learning so much. The lessons connect Jesus to all of scripture, and covers the entire Bible throughout a three year cycle.
Young Adult Class
This class meets Sundays at 9:45 AM in the West Center classroom. This is a college age and up group.
Led by Pastor Greg Lund and class members, this group combines discussion of scripture, relevant young adult topics, and everyday life.
Bill Byars teaches this class in the Conference Room. Lessons are from The Present Word and are presented in lecture format. The faithful attendees in this class are in their 70s and 80s
The Discussion class meets in the Parlor. Neill Goff and Steve Cox lead discussion lessons based on Bible passages or books. Regular attendees range in age from 60s to 80s.
Meets in Westminster Hall and begins at 10am. This class is currently comprised of middle age and older adults, but all ages are welcome. Class members follow
The Present Word series for the weekly Bible Study Lesson and instructor, Dr Marshall Jenkins encourages discussion as each lesson is presented.
J.O.Y. (Just Older Youth)
This class meets on the second floor of the education building. Frank Bibb, Mike Busby, Al Davis, Martha Holder, and Stephen Williams rotate leading the discussions based on the Lectionary. Attendees range in age from 40s to 70s. J.O.Y. is also active socially. They get together at Christmas and New Year's Eve, and also enjoy camping, hiking, and bicycling.
Exploring The Spirit
Meets on the second floor of the education building. Tom Sipp leads this book study discussion class. Regular attendees are in their 50s and 60s. Outside of Sunday School time, they have an annual Christmas party and occasionally go to the movies.
