Spiritual Life & Care

Cultivating an inner spiritual life is what deepens our relationship to the Divine and to one another within community. We have a broad variety of options from which to choose based on individual preferences. Sunday morning classes for adults include: a lectionary-based study; a Bible study; or a video or book-based class that often looks at Progressive Christian perspectives on the Bible & the faith. Our community is diverse and therefore we try to accommodate folks wherever they are on their journey of faith, offering them the tools they need in order to deepen one’s faith and discipleship.

Sunday Classes

OPTIONS

Lectionary study which looks at the assigned Scripture readings for that Sunday. This class meets in the fellowship hall. Contact Frank Bibb
Bible study as determined by the group. This class meets in the Parlor. Contact Steve Cox
Progressive Christian video or book study. This class meets in Westminster Hall. Contact Tom Sipp
Young Adult class meets virtually. Days and times vary. Contact Trish Reed

A catered dinner ($7/person) is served from 5:30-6:30 pm followed by activites, handbells, and choir rehersal.

prayer group

TUESDAY

Meets at 1:00 pm. Prayers are centered on those that have asked for prayer as well as prayer for our local community, country, and world. Contact Beth Williams

Pints with the pastor

Going out with friends or even colleagues after a long day or just to catch up is the norm for many. But what about grabbing a pint with your pastor? A place where you might bring a friend who is “allergic” to Church? A place where any of the difficult questions about religion, about faith, about God can be asked? Or just a place where we can think about community, expansive community, as Jesus demonstrated it. Contact Ken Davis.
