our mission is Demonstrating God's love to everyone.

What we believe

As a congregation within the Presbyterian Church (USA) we believe

  • In the grace of God in Jesus Christ who loves all of humanity and all of creation unconditionally

  • In shared leadership between clergy and laity

  • That women and men are called to the highest offices of the church

  • That Scripture was written by human hands and through the power of the Holy Spirit has the capacity to be God's Word to humanity

  • That Scripture does not have to be taken literally in order to be taken seriously

  • Jesus Christ is the Word incarnate and as such is the measuring rod by which all of Scripture is compared

  • Communion or the Lord's Supper, is open to all who trust in Jesus Christ

  • Baptism is offered to infants, children, and adults

  • Worship includes intercessory prayers, music, reading of Scripture, preaching, and an offering

Our Staff

Sheri Harris, Pastor

Sheri joined the Westminster family as our Pastor in October 2025

  • Pastor-Elect Sheri Harris was called as Pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in late August 2025. A graduate of Western Theological Seminary in 2019, Sheri brings a passion for preaching, teaching, and reaching people, walking alongside them in any season of life. Sheri has a heart for connecting Scripture to our everyday experiences and encouraging the Church to be more and more like Jesus every day.

Originally from Battle Creek Michigan, Sheri has served in ministry as a Commissioned Ruling Elder in a few PC(USA) congregations in Michigan. She has also led many initiatives to better the State of Michigan and local community as a community organizer and advocate. Often referring to herself as a traveling preacher, she is always seeking to connect with people, demonstrating God's love in both the church and the wider community.

When not at church, Sheri enjoys everything to do with PLANTS! This year, an "empty nester" with her youngest of three children moving out on his own, she found her hands deep in the dirt rescuing and replanting her collection of many plants. After years of having little success with houseplants this has become a new passion for her! You will also find her enjoying the great outdoors in a variety of ways, speed reading a historical fiction novel, or deep in study over some difficult nonfiction text.

Sheri is honored to serve at Westminster and looks forward to sharing life and faith with the people of Westminster, in Rome and beyond.
