Outreach and Programs

As a Matthew 25 Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church is working to help eradicate systemic poverty in our community. You will find some of the examples of how we are working toward this goal below. For more information or to join our efforts, please email our Mission Team or call the church office.

Bus Fare | Community Kitchen |Community Pantry| Backpack Buddies | Westminster Christian Academy

Bus Fare is a Community meal plan in partnership between The Davies Shelter, Rome Community Kitchen, Fork, Spoon and Plate, and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Each Saturday at 12:00 we invite the community into our West Center for a hot meal. We also provide showers.

Contact Tom Sipp to learn more and volunteer.

Community Kitchen

Westminster members help prepare and serve meals at the Community Kitchen on Wednesday of the third full week each month.

Contact Barbara Elliott for more information or to volunteer.

Backpack buddies

Through our partnership with Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries, Westminster supports at risk students at Alto Park Elementary school with backpack buddies bags each week during the school year.

Community Pantry

Take what you need, Leave what you can.

Westminster partners with our Community to help address food insecurity. The Church fills the Pantry box located on our front lawn daily but we also welcome individuals to add what they are able at anytime.
